As featured on Boston's CHRONICLE show "Recession Busting", we are a unique concept offering first-quality merchandise, samples, and irregulars of current brand-name department store women's apparel.

Our prices are so ridiculously low that we can only afford to be open for "special limited event weekends".

He shops around to bring you bargains

Joel Greenfield has brought brand names for women to Winthrop center. On the cheap and on the fly, too.

The founder of the Fashion Barn chain now flies around the country, scooping up close-outs and overstocks of Calvin Klein, Jones New York, and other top brands. "It's not junk," said Greenfield, a 37-year veteran of the retail industry. "It's all brand-new goods, only for women."

The hitch? He only sells the stuff a few days a month, at a storefront in Michael's Mall in Winthrop. His sale this month will run from Wednesday to Sunday. He relies on word of mouth, and the occasional flier, to spread the word about $10 jeans and other bargains.
